I was walking a long narrow road intent on an afternoon of apple picking, when my soul became enveloped by a kaleidoscopic drapery of stirring seasonal illumination.
Millions of rustling leaves, singed with autumnal pageantry, had fallen neatly into a makeshift curb which lined my route through a dynamically dappled flume filled with a cornucopia of colorful wonderment.

I love the word cornucopia – it reminds of elementary school and the art projects we would create during this time of year. These two sentences remind me of an art project, yet, it is multidimensional and alive. A lovely two sentences Mr, Two Sentences. 😉

The visual held true for Autumn that I experience, but I missed the scent. The slightly fruity scent of the descending decay that the colors of the world, brought into sharp focus, suddenly make me aware of, nearly as if I’d been asleep through the summer months.

Love the poem and accompanying picture. I often start as prose description to poem. I love the word kaleidoscope to describe fall. Like-minded, I have a poem using the word in conjunction with fall. I’m going to post it to see if you think it resonates as poem as well as your sentences do.

Your evocative two sentences and use of kaleidoscope feels very much like a prose version of my poem Spill, which speaks of the same subject and feelings. I’m going to talk about perfect word choices and share my own poem Kaleidoscope later today. I wonder if it will resonate with you in a poetic way. Take care.
