The temper tantrum she threw was standard performance art for any nine year old that couldn’t convince her father on the importance of riding a new bike the second it was assembled.
Mother nature’s mounting malfeasance was soon forgotten when a doting dad asked his little girl to put on an apron and help him create the perfect gooey-cheese pizza for two.

As a Dad, you have to learn these little tricks along the way. Great post, Edward, and picture too!

Don’t dads always win with their daughters like mothers do with their sons, and the vice versa never happens – blame it on Nature!

There’s nothing more entertaining than a child in a tantrum. The sheer intensity of emotion! How sad it is that they don’t realize the value of valuing “trivial” things so much you’re prepared to scream, shout and (in my case) head-butt the floor over them! I envy the intensity of life a child has.

Love it! So true of one of my two kiddos π A pizza in my world will need extra jalapenos to counteract Ma Nature’s belated April Fool’s dusting of snow!

I love your pictures. They are as beautiful as your words. Are they in real time? Is there still snow on the ground in Salem?
Since you are a reader, I wonder if you have ever read “The Blizzard” or “The Snowstorm” by Alexander Pushkin? (It would be a translation.) It’s a short story, one, for some reason, I think you might like based on your writing. Here is one available online. http://www.cadytech.com/dumas/related/snow_storm.php
