They once came on frozen rails without pretense to share the jolly with a sustained station bustling with local services for a truly languishing community…
Yesterday, a destitute curmudgeon dropped his found piece of bread and knelt at the very same train car that took him in so many years ago.

You have captured a vivid moment of time in the present through your photographic eye and merged it with a vivid moment of time in the past with your creative ‘inner eye’. In many ways, this reminds me of the James Cameron film The Titanic. I can follow your premise and you have left me wanting to know more…Brilliant – lovely two sentences/story/maybe future movie?

My nephew and I love trains and train tracks! I love the history of the railroads! You can tell this is not a live track! I like how you pulled history into this with only two sentences! š

Old tracks and old barns. Two things that are so beautiful. Thank you for reminding me of some of the beauty of my home town. Eloquent as always.

Absolutely beautiful. So deep. Just two sentences but they leave you in profound thought, thinking about what has been and what is yet to come. A wonderfully, intelligent way of writing- I love it!

There is so much sorrow in the ‘lifeless’ train, neglected tracks and your words, oh my gosh, they are truly a reflection of a time long gone. I’m happy I was around for those days, trains and cabooses… Great post! š

Hi Edward! What a novel blog concept. I picked this post because I love train track shots. They always inspire me to tell myself a story of where those tracks are leading. I don’t know how you stumbled onto my blog, but that’s for stopping by. Have a great weekend š
Cheers!
