Hello there. Welcome.
My name is Edward Roads. I thought it would be different, but also fun and challenging, to blog my thoughts and observations two sentences at a time… I love to read & enjoy walking around Salem, MA…. Simply put, I try to write down things that fall out of my head.
Thank You for visiting & don’t be a stranger.

  1. Your two sentences at a time is rather self indulgent and doesn’t help humans with much useful advice. I would recommend that you read my blogs for inspiration and start writing two sentences which will help them cope with their daily lives in some way. Best wishes. Uldis.

  2. Hello Edward,
What a wonderful and exquisite idea! In a world full of “overwhelming information”, you give us all some inspiring freshness.

Brilliant blog… in my opinion. And, by the way, thank you for visiting mine.

  3. Thank you for stopping by my blog! I really like that you are using only 2 sentences. Sometimes we meander off on tangents and never really get said what we meant to say and forcing it to be in 2 sentences really focuses the mind. Awesometastic!

  4. Thanks for visiting my blog and reading my recent post. Don’t let anyone tell you that two sentences don’t deliver a message worth being read by someone who will gain from your writing. Like what you’re doing here!

  5. Edward, thanks for stopping by my place. I like what you’re doing here–it’s similar to a Ginsburg “American Sentence,” a poetic form I’m currently playing around with. Nicely done!

  6. I have meant for sometime to visit your neck of the web woods – and right now, I am being bad – not doing the work I should be doing. I do enjoy reading your snippets. I have been feeling a bit snippety lately, though once in awhile, something more snippety comes to fruition. I must go, but will come back: Work beckons….. Kimberly

  9. Hello.

Thank you for the interest and support you’ve shown in my July 3words story.

I hope you not only return and follow for August, but also consider participating. It really is fun not knowing where the story is going.

I hope to self-publish a collection of my 3words stories this month – if enough participated I could do this each month, including your story.

Either way, thanks again. And happy reading.

  10. Two sentences; now that is a an achievable daily goal. I think most of our daily musings can be summed up succinctly; particularly with the use of well placed punctuation to expand the sentence. 🙂

  11. I’ve nominated you for a One Lovely Blog Award 🙂 although I realise this might seem a little forward of me when I’ve only been following you for a couple of days! But I do like a man who can string a couple of lines together!!

  13. I am inspired by your two sentences at a time! Most of us tend to say too much. Most of us tend to jump in and not take little steps. There are so many correlations for taking life two sentences at a time. Thanks for visiting my somewhat wordy blog so that I could stumble upon yours. What fun!

  14. Hi, thank you for liking my post. I really enjoy yours, too. Inspiring, and capturing the whole feeling in just two phrases. I don’t think I’m a very good writer, but I enjoy reading, so congratulations on your writing!

  16. Blogging has certainly introduced me to creative people such as yourself and it’s nice to read and interact with such talent. Thanks for the visit and keep writing more because I need all the inspiration I can get. [Yay! I did it in two sentences :)]

  17. I really like your blog concept. Two sentences is achievable and all that many bloggers have time to read. It is also a great way for you to use your writing skill. Now that I think about it, I probably end up writing about two sentences to go with my images. I’ll have to go count :-).

  20. This is a brilliant idea for a blog. Writing two sentences is a great habit that can be harder to do than it seems. I recently began writing American Sentences (Allen Ginsberg’s variation on haiku) every day as a means of forcing myself to condense, to practice writing more succinctly. I’ve found that it has also became a way to capture highlights from each day. It looks like your two sentences are doing that for you as well. Cheers 🙂

  22. How in the world did I never come to your about me page? **Shame on me**….I honestly thought I did. Maybe I did and just didn’t like it! By the way, that picture is very nice ♥ And that first comment, what an —! I love your blog and hope you never change it 🙂

      • It’s not silly at all. Mine is a bit long winded, lol, but when I start talking (writing) I just can’t stop sometimes 🙂

Thank you, Edward! ♥ (By the way, funny fact about me, I hated my last name for so long that I wanted to change it. The only name I ever considered changing it to was ‘Edwards’, hehe! I think that would have sounded pretty good – Serena Marie Edwards – lol, but I decided to just go by my first and middle name. So, obviously, I love your name! ♥

Sorry, I told you I talk too much 😀

  23. Hello Edward. Many thanks for your regular visits and likes at my blog. I was just wondering if you would like to attempt the September 3words prompt idea within your own interesting blog idea, of just two sentences? You could still use the 3words, but within those two sentences, however long you had to make them to incorporate my prompts? Could be interesting. I hope. But no worries if not. 🙂
